It's one thing if Sirius ups the terms required to keep them or something, but if it's just a matter of XM saying "get off Sirius and we'll give you more money", then AIR AMERICA SUCKS ASS!

2. Don't they know Howard Stern is coming to Sirius?
Sirius will shoot through the roof then and leave XM in the dust. I'm so confident of that I've bought and am holding some of their stock long term.

3. I agree wholeheartedly! AAR will lose me as a listener.
And it really bothers me if they move to XM and not have Randi and Malloy on the lineup. If so, it doesn't sit well with me. Something stinks here...

4. It just doesn't make any sense.

Why would you go to a station with 3 million listeners, when you can be on two stations with a combined 4 million listeners like they already are? And you know they're gonna go to XM and XM is going to ruin the line up. Hell they already do. The gall to put Alan Colmes on. I bet that wimp starts saying "I'm on Air America". sigh

5. Actually Colmes never mentions Air America... as for the why...
I suspect that XM offred them a pile of money.. and something else that's in the Press Release that is being overlooked..

"State of the Art" Studio Space inside the Beltway in Washington DC.

XM is building a new multi-studio complex in a new building.

Now, let's think.. AAR has a WASHINGTON STUDIO IN DC over the NEXT THREE YEARS.

the word is ACCESS, access to those in DC, access to those to get the word out.

THAT is important.

6. They're already broadcasting in DC
What do you need studio space for? So Franken can suck up even more to the DLC? Access is important but you already have access and a bigger fan base. Now you're gonna cut a huge part of it out and they're pissed and rightfully so.

7. The cold hard truth?? There is only "room" for ONE of them
Stern's deal with them will still happen, but soon after, look for Sirius to be "bought-out" by XM.. Damn it.. My kids spet over $500 to get me a new radio for my car and the complete Sirius hook up. They even paid for a year subscriptioon. They wanted to do the lifetime one, and I am glad they did not..

My husband likes music, so I'll probably just give him my sirius thingies for his truck, and I'll have to get an XM..:grr:.. I will also go out on a limb and suggest that XM will "rearrange" AAR's schedule, and probably not even run it live..

I do not trust anyone in cahoots with AOL.. Look what the merger with CNN did for "news"..:(
