Tom Delay is "eager to go to the ethics comittee..."
Rep Roy Blunt (R-Hemoroid) defending DeLay to Judy Woodcroft...

"They all do it" "Who actually paid for these trips" "Who's advancing this story" "I'm not here to criticize Chris Shays...BUT..."

The Rapture-seekers will pull out all the stops to defend their Christian Reconstructionist Avenging Angel...

I have to admit, Woodcroft plays her role well...

2. John Fund was also on...
Interestingly, CNN featured two DEFENDERS of DeLay but no ACCUSERS - just the bland report of the allegations...

The Hammer will be pleased...

What a guy! Had a long affair with a woman, babysitted her daughter, when the daughter grew up, he started schtooping her and knocked her up. And then, Mr. Pro Life had her get .... an ABORTION!

Just the guy to have on Delay's team!

12. Satire or humor? Maybe. Gross? Absolutely.
That's why I wrote "childishness." My humble opinion.

8. What ethics committee?
Edited on Mon Apr-11-05 03:02 PM by TwoSparkles
Didn't the Republicans vote in measures that neutered the Ethics Committee?

Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but the Ethics Committee is comprised of an equal number of Dems and Reps, right? The Republicans voted new ethics rules require a MAJORITY vote before any ethics investigation can begin.

So.....that means there will NEVER be any thorough Congressional ethics investigations, unless some Republican votes for it. The vote will always be tied--thus no investigation.

This is my understanding of the current situation. Someone let me know if I have this wrong.

If I'm correct--then what a joke that Delay is "eager to go to the ethics committee."

I'd be eager too, if I knew the issue was a dead duck before I even arrived!

9. Yep....his eagerness is to get to his "appointees" that he assumes will
let him off the hook. The pressure is getting to him now that he knows the Bush's don't take prisoners when one of their own steps over the line. He's maybe even starting to sweat a little.
