Swat team just blew up suitcases at Capitol Bldg.
Although they x-rayed the suitcases and determined there was nothing inside they blew em up anyway. What if they had been full of anthrax?
And if there was nothing inside, why the hell blow up some guys boxer shorts? Democracy in Action!!! This was a 'suspicious person' standing outside the Capitol building with two suitcases....Forrest Gump?

2. Because, it will make for cool footage to accompany the
six o'clock news.

Besides, we're America. Blowing things up is what we do best.

"You've got the yo-yo"

"I've got the string"

The CNN network is close enough to Ft Gordon - SigInt that 'trainees' doing whatever trainees do in PsyOps domestically can have that hands-on learning experience.

At least the CIA charter is supposed to not allow domestic ops, although the do it anyway. The military, since MLK's day has been playing domestically.

7 Days in May is passe. It needs updating.

I never cease to be amazed at how much we have learned from the Canadians in just a few short years.

5. Nothing better to do
I guess. They were promised an invasion of al-Qaeda maniacs wielding swords and all they get is an empty suitcase. Might as well make the best of it.

Looked like they could've broke his neck. I'm just sure he deserved it.

8. Why not show the Bolton hearing, judy?
the story's over...all of your delaying and stammering and inane questioning of bob franken can't disguise the fact that the Mainstream media has jumped the shark to such an embarrassing degree that it has become a parody of itself...

"What's gonna be the lead story, Jim?"

"Don't know, haven't got my memo yet..."

12. I'm pretty sure they blow them up in a sealed container
Edited on Mon Apr-11-05 02:41 PM by notadmblnd
when I worked at a bank years ago, a repair man forgot his tool case outside the doors (probably set it down to use his key to open the door). Well people thought it might be a bomb and the bomb squad was called in. As I recall, they put the case in a sealed container on the truck and blew up the tools in a contained manner.

They blowed up real good as the other posts have indicated. They were not sealed.

24. Then this was a staged event.
Edited on Mon Apr-11-05 03:15 PM by notadmblnd
he whole intent of calling in SWAT and taking him down would be to prevent an explosion, they haul this guy away and complete it for him? Was there any property damage? This was totally staged. Anyone hear what happened to the man they drug away?

on edit: I just saw this posted in another thread and I'm even more convinced this is staged.

This photo provided by the Office of the House Majority Whip shows a unidentified man with two suitcases standing outside the Capitol, Monday, April 11, 2005. Later, police tackled and forcibly dragged away the man dressed in black and carrying the suitcases who had stationed himself in front of the west side of the U.S. Capitol. (AP Photo/Jessica Boulanger, Office of the House Majority Whip)

Tom Delay is the Majority leader.

My 12 yr old also pointed out to me that as soon as the cops drug him out of the camera, they stopped running with the guy. At the time I told my son that they were just fat old cops and they tire easily from running. Maybe my son is more perceptive than I thought.

33. They said they took him to the 'Capitol Jail'
they probably stripped him, made him masterbate while they took pictures of him with the jail guards. Strictly routine.

16. Google the article on "CNN and PsyOps" by Alexander Cockburn
During the 2000 election Army PsyOps was in the CNN newsroom. A Dutch reporter let this info out and only the webzine counterpunch picked up 'big time'.

M$M didn't report on this story so now, with a war on, you can expect that 'they're baaaaaak'.

19. Whenever there's a problem for Bushie in Hearings some incident
occurs. I wish I could remember them all....sigh. Just to get the lead on the news. If Bolton is voted in or out, the American people will never know. It will be a blip on the scroll and another so called "terrorist incident" will take the lead.

Who knows...the way these folks operate maybe it was another warning to the Hill not to go against the BFEE...
