That CNN, WSJ, etc. have been "weighting" their polls for years...

38% Repukes/ 31% Dems/ 35% Indies (or something like that).

With that in mind, George W.'s numbers are actually much lower than they look in that post.

There's no way that that man was ever elected president.

There. I've said it.

Note: 2002 election (cited at the end of the article) was the "Rob Georgia" election. Remember?

5. Just maybe the exit polls were right after all.
I think I read that the exit polls did not match the result where the black voting machine were owned and counted by Bush backed corp? And the pesty votes that had a paper trail matched the exit polls. Are the true feeling of the people really turning up?

6. He won't even see these numbers
He doesn't read a paper and his regime will not show him anything that is negative.

7. tinkerbell theory
"He doesn't read a paper and his regime will not show him anything that is negative."

He operates on the tinkerbell model.. just believe hard enough, clap your hands for the toothfairy system of government ... and all is well.

I've been calling the terra-lerts the "CLAP-ON CLAP-OFF" syndrome...

he's in his second and last term -- and is probably in "coasting" mode -- just like seniors in their last month or two of school -- you just have to show up enough to pass

he's stated on different occasions that it won't matter what history says about him - he'll be dead or it will be someone else's problem

what he is not taking into consideration is getting impeached and following in Nixon's footsteps. bush*'s numbers are pretty close to what Nixon's were when the sh*t hit the fan. If Clinton's numbers were in this situation - he would have been impeached, but Clinton had public support -- bush*'s support is hanging on by a fingernail.

Congress's approval numbers aren't in any better shape -- this is going to make alot of the incumbent kook-aid drinkers facing re-selection extremely nervous. The country is getting into an anti-incumbent mood, and are pretty sick and tired of excuses. Poppy bush was rode out of office on just this kind of sentiment.

economy sucks, gas prices keep going up, property taxes go up, and all we get is a smiley-face sticker and told to "sit down and shut up"

Dumping DeLay may relieve a bit of the pressure - but DeLay is not the problem -- he's a symptom of a larger problem -- and that problem is a radical right-wing philosophy that spits on everyone
