We Dems didn't support Bill and Hillary. So I understand/Dark Side
they went to.

Folks upset with Bill and Hillary "chumming it up" with Bushie Boys/Poppy....need to understand that their OWN DEMS didn't support them when times were tough for Bill.

Newtie, Delay and others have had a "good long ride" on Repug Dreams.

But from the time "Bill and Hillary" got into office they were hit with #1: Vince Fosters Death where Hillary supposedly killed him..and the "Airplane Pilot" who shot bullets into WH and take it on down...Paula Jones/Court Intervention, etc...etc...etc...

Is it any wonder that they have gone to the "Dark Side?"

But...do I think they are wrong on this. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!

1. I disagree about the support - the only person I remember
that was not supportive (from the beginning) was Senator Leiberman.

Later Al Gore showed his true stripes.

I also don't have a problem with his being buddies with the Bush White House. Makes the repugs a whole lot madder than most Democrats - I get a chuckle out of it. That sinner on stage with those wingnuts. Its great.

2. "We Dems didn't support Bill and Hillary."
In case you forgot, Clinton won the presidency twice.

I guess that the Republicans must have voted him in.

Not to mention that his approval ratings were in the 70s after the impeachment.

Again, must have been those darn Republicans keeping his ratings high!

3. Dupe. Karl Rove is totally decompensating.. so with all the Clinton
'dark side' threads. Someone has to pay when KKKKarl doesn't win. And he lost the first part of the SS battle.

Karl Rove lost.

Karl Rove lost.

Karl Rove lost.

And the battle for the state of New York begins. First shot! Bush gets Clinton into as many photo ops as possible to help usher a break between Clinton and the left wing of the party.

4. How can you support people who have no principles?
During Clinton's terms he compromised with the Rethugs, and now Hillary is doing the same thing because she thinks that moving to the muddy political middle is going to help her win the Presidency in '08. NOT!

If she keeps trying to find common ground with the radical right she's not even going to be re-elected to her senate seat next year.LOL

As for Billy boy, he's so obsessed with staying in the spotlight that he is always buzzing around that corpse called Poppy Bush. If it weren't for his ego maybe he could have let Carter take his place in the official delegation to the Pope's funeral.

6. Right.
Nothing worse than Clinton trying to raise funding to help those people in Southeast Asia. Unreal.

If it weren't for his ego maybe he could have let Nixon take his place in the official delegation to the Royal Wedding.

8. I understand what you say...more than you give me credit for BUT
Our "elected Dems" didn't make him tow the Dem line. WE are to blame for Clinton. (not we who are the last hope here for America) but our elected Reps didn't represent us and left Clinton to "twist in the wind."

Our "elected Reps" and the public should have fought back first on NAFTA his first "sell out" to get elected...but the rest falls on us.

When have we ever seen the Repugs not FIGHT TO THE DEATH to defend one of their own...if they "needed them." The Repugs will ditch you when you hurt them...Gingrich, Lott (who Chimp/NeoCons thought would work closely enough with them...so they put Frist in place meanwhile letting Us think it was about a racist comment...lol's) and all the rest.

If you put yourself in Clinton's body you can see where he would take advantage of his "new friends"...dark as they are.

9. I had responded
to the person before me, not to you. But, in regard to your OP, my feeling is that Clinton -- while far better than Bush in every area -- still represents a "transitional" presidency. After the Reagan/Bush 1 administration, the county was either going to go in the direction of a democracy (it was a potential) or simply sink into a post-democratic state. I think that Al Gore, far more than either Clinton or Kerry, would have been a step towards democracy. But the most undemocratic of events occured in 2000.

10. Agree with what you say about "transitional"..still we should have had our
"act together" and supported him. But, most of us out here in the country weren't aware that both parties had begun to merge. So, I blame our elected House and Senate members in that I want the two-party merge exposed. If they had supported Democratic Party Values Clinton wouldn't have been brought down in a personal sex scandal and in fact might not have been tempted into the sex scandal in the first place. imo.. Gore wouldn't have had to distance himself from Democratic achievements during Clinton (there were a few..including holding back the NeoCons) and we wouldn't be where we are today digging ourselves out of a whole out here while our DINO's and DLC'ers fight to keep power with the Repugs.

.missed the post number so sorry if I answered a post not directed at me.

5. bullshit we didnt support them, i back clinton
as did everyone else, and sick as we were when the pig said to the american people, i did not have sexual relations with that woman, (i looked at hubby and said blow job, hubby agreed) he got re elected and manintained the high approval rating just cause we all knew this had nothing to do with his job and the outrageousness of the republican behavior

so though we were all disgusted with clinton and his treatment of women, many of us women sucked it up and supported him

so that is just total bull

he was far from god. that i refuse to catagorize him as. he is merely a man. did some good and some not so good. he is smarter than most adn a lot easier to listen to than bush. but just a mere man. and not all that the democrat party is

7. I don't believe that
It was, if I remember correctly, the public support Clinton received during the impeachment farce that kept the Senate from going batshit, like their House cohorts did.

Of course we supported Clinton during this time. It was nothing more than a Republican coup d'etat, and I don't know any Democrats who didn't stand up for Clinton in the face of this outrage.
