Bush approval ratings remain near 100%
among audiences picked to attend administration-organized town hall meetings on Social Security.

Rest of country not as approving.

7. Seriously though, I can't believe C-SPAN is actually covering those.
I caught a few seconds of one, and it was just as some "concerned citizen" thanked the Lord that he was re-elected and the whole audience stands and claps. Yeah, real tough, objective crowd.

What a farce!

8. Bush approval 125%
according to a survey conducted on electronic voting machines.

Just ask Ohio Sec of State Kenneth Blackmail.

9. I just have to wonder what they're thinking
Do they believe that bubble boy is going to persuade the American people to embrace his program by preaching to the choir? The people at those "town halls" have already drunk the kool-aid, what's to be gained by talking only to them?
To me, it's just another example of shrubbies cowardice, he can only do his schtik in front of cheering, adoring crowds, and on our nickel, I might add, rather than be confronted by real people with real questions. I say, let 'em do it, his numbers are sliding across Democrats, republicans, and indies right now because he doesn't have the courage to face ALL of us and honestly answer our concerns, just as he lacked the courage of his convictions in the 60's, dodging service in a war he championed.

How consistent. What a gutless wonder we have for a "leader".

11. And just how is the 60 day 60 town hall meeting thingy going?
I wonder, what with the Schiavo and the Pope thingy, if he still on schedule to complete it on time, or like most things in his life, he is losing interest in it and will quit and move on to another fiasco?

15. Yeah, but they don't tell boy george about him
they just let him think he's doing it on his own, just like he thinks everyone loves him because they all get up and cheer at his town halls. My God, I can't wait until the grownups are back in charge.

18. He can get Ted Nugent to help
Edited on Sun Apr-10-05 12:41 AM by utopiansecretagent
now that the Nuge is a Crawford resident and neighbor. I recently visited Nugent's website and message board to thank him (read: bait him) for leaving my homestate of Michigan and to congratulate him on his new status as village idiot number 2 in Crawford.

Nugent (along with his message board fans) took the bait and replied back with the standard neo-con spew (michael moore-lovin' tree-huggin liberal, etc).
