It's not Bush's fault....

Really. It is the fault of the Congress and the Senate. It's just a matter of time before the present world of illusions collapses and people will be pointing fingers of blame. Most will be pointing at Bush. But it was the Congress that has gone along with most of his disastrous policies that are readying for collapse.

And it was not just the Republicans in the House and Senate. On some of the most dreadful decisions - the war in Iraq, the war on terrorism, the credit card company protection plan, the huge taxcuts,and the most dreadful policy decisions, were made in the House and Senate by Democrats and Republicans alike.

If they had shown a backbone, we would not be approaching this day of reckoning. They did not have to go along with Bush. They should not have gone along with Bush.

2. the huge tax cuts

were not supported by very many Democrats either in 2001 or 2003. The tax cut of May 2003 passed the Senate by a vote of 51-50. House votes have been almost straight party-line as well. Maybe 10 of 200+ Democrats voted for the tax cuts.
