1. Dont forget Clark and Graham will be on.
So it looks to be some good watching for us DU folks who are following the primary candidates (or, ,in the case of Clark, rumoured candidate)

4. I looked for it on Yahoo news and it doesn't come up in a search
I searched for Tenet stories and only got the ones about him taking the blame and about the chimp having confidence in him.

I would like to think that this is the beginning of the end but I just can't see it happening. They are telling the sheeple that it ain't no big thing and they are buying it.

When ever I talk to a wing nut about the chimp's lies the always bring up Clinton. The believe all the wing nut stories about Clinton and see him as a bigger liar then the chimp.

Clinton lies about a blow job and Bush lies to get into war. Yet the wing nuts don't get it.

5. I just heard it on Fox. The way they referred to it was, "Some people
are trying to make such a big deal out of this - it was just 16 words in a speech of over 5000!" But then some woman said, "Of course, those were a pretty important 16 words." (She'll probably be getting her pink slip tomorrow morning.)

6. Bush's words in State of Union speech were "Clintonian" says Bill
Schneider, the so-called political analyst on CNN this morning...This is how pathetic they are....Schneider said some critics are saying the presidents words in the speech were "Clintonian!" They cannot refrain from trying to drag Clinton into EVERY dirty little deal they have going....They're disgusting!

7. They can't cover-up forever!
Edited on Sun Jul-13-03 08:21 AM by MarianJack
That's why people like us have to keep stating the truth, either on the net or person to person or on bumper stickers. However, what we need to do also is to stop jumping on other candidates for minor ideological differences and focus on pretzel boy! I support John Kerry, my wife is still looking. I did not like his vote on the war but I am looking at electability. A DLC candidate won 2 elections to the eternal dismay of the right wingers (a term I now consider interchangable with republican). Any of the 9 announced or 2 rumored candidates (Biden or Clark)will be better than the texas turkey! Let's keep our eye on the prize and start focusing on the former governor of texas!

12. let's hope the Dems don't wimp out on this

Are they cool enough to keep the message short and sweet while they push the issue?

If they push it and don't get sidetracked, we'll see further panic from the White House. More lies. The deceptions will become more obvious.

10. The WPost thing is too fresh to show up yet
Only hit the Post this a.m. (last night online, but it was the Sunday edition). Dunno if we should really expect it to show up in the Sunday am pundit shows. Saturday release would have been better. But before it came out the NYTimes had already said Tenet's mea culpa wasn't enough, and there's still Kristof to weigh in, and Krugman if he's back from vacation, and Marshall, and and and...

By the way, Marshall essentially sez the same thing I've been saying about that non-mea-culpa mea culpa:

Read Tenet's 'mea culpa' (self-criticism session?) closely and you'll see it points right back at Condi Rice's NSC.
