Bush Lied and 217 US Soldiers have died in Iraq

U.S. toll in Iraq 217

As of Saturday, July 12, 217 U.S. soldiers have died since the beginning of operations in Iraq, according to the Pentagon.

The British government has reported 42 casualties.

Since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 79 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, according to the Pentagon.

Here is information on the latest U.S. casualties.


The military reported Saturday that one soldier of the 4th Infantry Division died in "a non-hostile gunshot incident." No details were available.
