2 wk summary: deaths, pie and Delay. What else did I miss?

I've been out of the country for the last 2 wks, seeing French news only (seeing because while I understand little spoken french, I can read it due to 4 yrs of Latin), and have today done some internet news research to find the following sumnation of the news. Beyond Terri S, the Pope, Prince Rainier and more people in Freed-Iraq-Afghanistan dying, and Kashmir dying, some sort of pie throwing orgy going on and Delay going down (no pun intended), did I miss much important or is this about it?
