Randi Rhodes Ripping on the Pope and Schiavo

Randi is on a roll about how the media has it reporting prioritys all messed up. Saying how the press have gone from covering a starving veggitated women now to the Pope and YET!!!...not hardly one word about 4 US Soldiers who lost their lives this weekend in Iraq.

Glad to see Randi is back in her old form.

5. Rhandi is great
And three days is way too much on the Pope. Not everybody is Catholic and the media doesn't report on our dead soliders, do they? Nope. It's all media shrill.

6. Catholic listeners?
What are our priorities? Yes the Pope and Terry's passing are a tragedy. But they were treated with honor and dignity till the end. What about the soldiers and innocent Iraqi's that are dying for no reason? Let's get our priorities straight.....

9. I think the Pope coverage is warranted (and I'm not Catholic)
I think the death and upcoming replacement of the spritual father of 1 billion people is a pretty big deal.

10. She's wrong
People in war die. The fact that 4 people died during a war is news, but it doesn't outshine the issues surrounding the papacy.

If it had been 40, then it might be a different issue. That being said, what is there to report that 4 people died?

11. People die in war
Yes.

The corporate news is in the pocket of the warmongers. To accurately portray the truth about Iraq and the loss of life would be "bad business"
