4. I listed last week and was not impressed either....

I was listening in the car for 15 straight minutes and all he did was talk in what sounded like stream of consciousness to me. I agreed with what he was saying, but the format of him just talking and rambling was numbing so I found myself just tuning out. It was like a longer, less edited, more political version of his "final thought" from the end of his tv show.

I miss unfiltered and Rachel Maddow. She understood the concept of brevity and she knew how to walk the fine line between interviewing someone and in that interview when to hit them and when to let them hang themselves.

He seems to be a very kind and compassionate man who wants to talk about what we can do to help our lesser fellowmen. If he isn't as sophisticated and hip as Lizz and Rachel on the majority report, it's because he's trying not to entertain us but reach out to all of us and relight those liberal fires missing in our party recently.

I for one will give him a chance. I hope that AAR doesn't move too far to the middle either though as well. It's too bad they couldn't have kept the Majority Report on in another time slot. Maybe there's room for another "left of the dial" station or maybe even cable TV?

"Unfiltered" is what I meant. I find I am getting some of the shows I like replaced by other shows that are sort of in the middle by my lame local station. They replaced Mike Malloy with a psychology dame (not Dr. Laura)! Can you believe that?! :argh:
