Social security reform.
Bush says its our money. I wonder how much of "our" money Bush and the Senators are spending as they flit around the countryside pushing what is obviously a bad idea.

Apparently one person suggested to our Senator that they should put Social Security reform on the ballot; let the people vote on it. It seems he did not think highly of that option...

In the meantime, with all the talk from our senators about "hard choices" for our benefits, I have to wonder when Congress is going to start looking at "hard choices" in regards to their benefits. I mean its not like we have an upper class in this country, is it?

1. It's a hostage situation.
Bush is going to keep spending money on travel and boring us with his slop until we cave.

2. That could be a possibility.
Personally, I've decided he's going to go for a while longer, then have Congress pass it, and tell us that the polls (those he has commissioned) said we wanted it.

3. Pitching it to America?
What really irks me is that he says he is taking his case to the American People, but he will only speak in front of hand picked crowds that agree with him. I'm new to the DU forums and I'm sure you guys have hashed this before, but if this is Bush's idea of "taking it to the people" then he really is living in another world.

9. I just caught the end of the Ed Schultz show when he said Bush could
privatize SS by Executive Order. Good grief! Will we sit by and let this happen??? Ed says more details tomorrow. Might be worth a listen.

13. Oh, how I'd love to wipe that smirk off his face.
He's determined to ruin us all. I'm running out of words to express my disdain for him and his cronies. God help us all!
