Bush faces decline in approval ratings

SNIP.....
There's his brief intervention into the Terri Schiavo case, which a majority of Americans fault. There's his inability thus far to make serious headway on Social Security reform, his top second-term priority. And there's the economy, starting with rising gas and fuel prices and worries over inflation.
Bush advisers, while playing down the latest numbers, tend to fault the recent economic uncertainty. Several major polls have shown Bush's job approval declining into the mid-40s, a drop of 5 to 7 points in just a week - in some cases, at or near an all-time low for his presidency. The latest Gallup Poll also shows the highest public pessimism over the economy in two years, with 33 percent saying it is getting better and 59 percent saying it is getting worse. END

2. So sad that Schiavo is what takes him down.
Like bankrupting the country and leading a war of aggression did not phase people.....

7. Yup, I've noticed that too!
Laura here, Laura there, Laura, Laura everywhere these past 2 days.

I personally believe his approval rating is much lower...below 30% right now. I know a lot of repugs who voted for the chimp. And, they are starting to get fed up and are talking about it...And, you know it takes A LOT for a repug to admit a mistake!

17. I sneak a peak every so often at this website. . .
"Is It Over Yet?" keeps a running tally of the percentage of Shrub's term that's passed. Of course, it got to over 90% late last year, then most unfortunately had to revert. We're 52.29% done with him. I guess we can take solace we're "over the hump."

20. Maybe not
If we can win back the house and senate in 06 (if there are elections)
impeachment is in my judgement automatic, we may be two years from removing this cancer.

21. Not when you remove the handicap that they always give Shrub.
Which always adds 5% to 10% in Shrub's favor, and the poll does not reflect 100% of the population either. Propaganda Minister Rove has been putting in double shifts lately, and he is still losing control.

23. But, of course, our Democratic leadership is obviously a failure,
and we need drastic change, because Reid is a political failure, who's managed to screw up everything, and his failure is obvious, and I just like to disagree with the Democratic establishment for fun, because every last one of the Democrats is a DINO, because I define what Democrat means, and I know politics better than teams of dozens with doctorates in polisci and a decade of experience.
