WKYC Channel 3 anchor Tim White wasn't on the air Monday night because he's headed to Iraq.

White, a brigadier general in the Air Force Reserve, left for Washington, D.C., last weekend. From there, he will be deployed to several locations in the Persian Gulf, including Iraq.
He will help to ease the flow of information among the United States and Arab military and media, White said.

"This trip into Iraq has been looming for a while," White said. "I thought it would come up earlier."...(I've hated this evil spud ever since the Cleveland Clearchannel radio station put him on as temporary talk host during the Florida recount so he could push Bush and trash Gore.He was a colonel in the reserves then and I'd still like to know what business he had going on the radio playing politics.Seeing as how going to Iraq can't be seen as fun,I guess it's finally come back to bite him and I'm freaking glad.Have a good time,doosh.)
