Democrats looking downright competent
It seems the discussions about framing issues and controlling perception have rubbed off a bit. This is a great opportunity to completely redefine the political battle. Let's hope it works.

As DeLay and his allies shore up a plan to counter criticism of the leader’s ethics, liberal groups plan an ad blitz against the Texan, the registration-restricted Washington Post reports Wednesday. Excerpts follow.

Democratic officials and a well-funded liberal advocacy group said yesterday that they will try to capitalize on the new visibility of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (Tex.) by casting him as a symbol of Republican excess, as critics once did with former House speaker New Gingrich.
