He had no such qualms about the tsunami. Some lives are much more important than others, it seems.

Bush Biking, Relaxing at Ranch
By Deb Riechmann Associated Press Writer
Published: Dec 28, 2004

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) - Besides monitoring the devastating earthquake in Southeast Asia, President Bush is biking and strolling around his ranch here and pondering tax reform and other goals in his second term.

"He's clearing some brush this morning," deputy White House press secretary Trent Duffy said Tuesday, adding that the president and first lady also planned to host friends at the ranch.

"He's doing some biking and exercising as he normally does, taking walks with the first lady, and thinking about what he wants to accomplish in the second term." (more)

4. How can this be true when everything else said is a lie?
Edited on Mon Mar-28-05 12:18 AM by shance
Now all of a sudden Bush wants to back off from a story and get the word out from bought media that he didn't want to sign the bill?

If that were true I'd say fine and fair enough. WHen have they been honest and when have they been fair?

I don't believe anything coming from the White House anymore unfortunately. What is sad is that should be the one place we could count on for honest, decent coverage.

6. Clearing some brush?
I live in Texas and never clear any brush. Heck I don't even mow my lawn.

But then again I don't own a goat farm.

11. "clearing brush" has got to be a euphemistic code word.
Probably means "knocking a couple back" to the Secret Service. "He's unavailable, clearing brush."

And I'm SURE he and Laura talk about what he wants to accomplish in the second term. I talk about my job when I'm with friends on the weekend.
