Actual American war casualties PLEASE.
Am I correct in believing that the casualty numbers reported are ONLY for those who died on Iraqi soil and do not include any service personnel evacuated to Kuwait, Ramstein, or the US? If this is true, are the real numbers available anywhere?

I need to document this for someone who has just realized we are not really supporting our troops. She was horrified to hear of the GAO report on the lack of care for war veterans. I had previously mentioned to her that care for Guards and Reserves was different than regular army. She operates a widely read non-political web site. With newly opened eyes she has said "if everyone with a support the troops sticker on their car knew what was happening..."
So she is ready for the truth that the MSM has not provided her.

Specific links to FACTUAL sites would be appreciated.

4.  I checked the casualties in Iowa
Recently there were 2 soldiers killed from this area. One was killed outright and the other died in Germany a week later. I immediately checked the casualty list and they were both listed.

5. I've been highly suspicious of the numbers, too...
so I check the names I hear against the official lists all the time. So far, the names are always there.

Does anyone know someone who died and was NOT listed? That would be revealing.

We should keep watching.

6. Lady, if only you knew!
Officially according to US Department of Defense (ie DOD) and CENTCOM (The mob that runs Coalition forces in The Middle East) figures, 1,528 American citizens have died in Iraq due to combat. 86 British soldiers have been killed and 90 other Coalition soldiers have been killed in combat. A total of 1,704 coalition soldiers killed in combat in Iraq. US citizens killed in combat in Afghanistan is 160. Other coalition soldiers killed in combat in Afghanistan is 67.
Official wounded US citizens in Iraq is 11,470. Wounded Coalition soldiers in Iraq is 1,209.
Wounded soldiers in Afghanistan is unavailable from DOD or CENTCOM sources.
According to many sources on the Internet these numbers are lower than the truth.
Remembering what the US military said about its casualties in Vietnam over the 10 years that it fought in combat there, there is probably good reason to be sceptical of these "Official" figures.
These figures are much higher than Vietnam after the first two years of conflict. Vietnam went on for 10 years!!! Iraq & Afghanistan will only get "uglier"!! Please don't send your son or daughter to fight in these wars!
