Nazis for Terri?
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 01:51 PM by Sliverofhope

No comments needed.

Actually, apparently it's more probable that he's comparing the hospital to Auschwitz. But it's certainly an odd photo.

Somehow, I thought it would be funnier than this...

3. No, they are saying the courts are Nazis
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 01:49 PM by Zuni
because the Nazis started their genocide with cripples, the elderly and the retarded with Aktion reinhard in 1937-1938.
They gassed them as useless mouths.
That is what the fundies are saying is happening here or will happen here

Look at the sign he has---it is calling the Hospice Auschwitz.

This guy is no Nazi, he is just another Fundie

13. Hell, that's what some DUers are saying
Using German phrases to suggest people who support the law are Nazis. It's pathetically disgusting.

18. Good grief, this happens EVERY DAY. Families make these decisions
every day. This self-righteous buttinski should go to the hospital in Texas, which really did make the decision to end the life of that little baby.

19. This has been one of the more common talking points--
the hospice as Auschwitz. I've heard it many, many times in the MSM from the protesters, the Schindlers, and the fundies.

It's despicable.

22. Yes, I'm sure lots of non-Nazis...
...just happen to have full-sized Nazi battle flags sitting around in their closets. You never know when you're going to need one for a pro-feeding-tube demonstration.

25. I don't know where they got it
but I am sure they had this ready. The probably use it at abortion clinics too.
Whatever the reason, this guy is using it to call the judges, doctors, michael etc. nazis
look at his other poster.

29. Perhaps, but...
...I've seen hundreds of bush/nazi comparisons on posters, signs, t-shirts, etc... at anti-war demonstrations, but not ONCE has anyone shown up with a full size Nazi battle flag at an anti-war demonstration. I don't think they'd last long with it if they did, in fact.

ORRRRR,...are the Christian extremists actually viewing themselves as being subject to a victimization similar to those Jews?

If so,...they are seriously delusional and paranoid.

17. God bless their little Nazi hearts.
Hey wait! Didn't Hitler euthanize people who were in much better shape than Terri Schiavo?

I suggested the other day that they freeze Terri's head so future generations could revive her. I was joking, but it's not half the joke this spectacle is becoming.

32. I once tripped over a website researching martial arts that sold
that exact design on a variety of objects including placemats for your picnic table at the compound. It's too bad I didn't bookmark it because it has since disappeared or at least has been dropped through the normal search engines available. Apparently they must still be around just more covert.

31. Please feed, clothe, and give medical care and shelter to the poor.
What about that? He doesn't seem concerned about all the people in the U.S. and elsewhere dying from lack of food, clothing, medical care, and/or shelter. I brought up the issue of universal healthcare with a 'conservative' and he responded, "Oh, that's socialism."

So I guess Jesus was an 'evil socialist' because he said to give to the poor instead of insulting them by calling them 'lazy' (read inferior). So there's no difference between charity and Stalinism. Wow, what conclusions a bit of equivocation can lead to. Since the word 'socialism' can be used (I'd say misused) to mean social programs (which is charity), and since the same letters also refer to state ownership of the economy, which was one aspect of Stalinism, well golly gee, social programs = Stalinism or other brands of Communism. Saving lives by providing medical care to the poor = mass murder and repression.

Compare this 'conservative' attitude with the following poster:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3330001#3338500

"This person suffering from hereditary defects costs the people 60,000 Reichmarks during his lifetime. People, that is your money."

Isn't this exactly the attitude that the right wing has towards people suffering from poverty? They are deemed unfit to live, afterall, they must deserve to be poor, since they are poor. Poverty is seem by them somehow as an inborn trait.

And what were Bush's words? "It's your money.", just an updated version of "Volksgenosse, das ist auch Dein Geld!"
Like grandfather, like grandson. (Prescott Bush profitted from the Nazis).

See
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=socialism
quite a bit different meaning than what Ben Franklin said:

"All the property that is necessary to a Man, for the Conservation of the Individual and the Propagation of the Species, is his natural Right, which none can justly deprive him of: But all Property superfluous to such purposes is the Property of the Publick, who, by their Laws, have created it, and who may therefore by other laws dispose of it, whenever the Welfare of the Publick shall demand such Disposition. He that does not like civil Society on these Terms, let him retire and live among Savages. He can have no right to the benefits of Society, who will not pay his Club towards the Support of it."
Benjamin Franklin, letter to Robert Morris, December 25, 1783
