-birth of FOX news?
-rise of O'Reilly?
-Ted Turner leaving CNN?
-Gulf War I?
-Monica?
-96 telcom bill?

when did tabloidization and rw slanting take over any semblence of journalism?

and is rupert murdoch the reincarnation of hearst?

menendez, pee-wee herman's arrest

but even then, they had a little restraint

it got worse with tonya harding/nacy kerrigan, but with oj, the death knell of american journalism was heard

what was that movie Truman? His life was tabloid TV 24/7.

12. Although there was increasing tabloidism before, it really got
serious when Ted Turner left CNN. I think even Hearst had some pride in having a semblance of journalism in his empire. Murdoch has none.
