Faux and OLeilly spins Terri like they have never spun before.
Bill O'Leilly quote on Terri

"The secular philosophy believes the state has a right to make life and death decisions. The Christian philosophy believes the opposite, that man should not interfere in the life cycle, ever."

I guess thats why Bush supports the death penatly and the bombing of Iraq.

1. If people weren't interfering with the life cycle
she would have died 15 years ago because she would never have had a feeding tube in the first place.

8. Absolutely.
There is nothing about this situation that is natural. After all this, I'm not sure I would even go to a hospital if I became gravely ill. Just put me on an ice floe and send me out to sea.

10. D'oh
Oops next argument.

If man should never interfere with the life cycle, ever, wouldn't that mean that medicine of any kind is against God's will?

Sadly, there are churches who actually believe this.

2. So why did they put the feeding tube in? Isn't that interfering?
What a stupid asshat.

Keeping her alive was the interference, smart guy! If we had no 21st century technology, she'd have been dead 15 years ago!

13. I have to say
I absolutely adore the term "asshat"!

Meanwhile, I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment that keeping her alive in the first place was interfering.

12. But that's exactly what the fundies are trying to do here--give the state
the right over this decision, wresting it away from the husband. Doesn't anybody who watches that blowhard ever call him on his shit?

Damn near punched my radio out of the dashboard.

So, loofah-boy, whatever happened to state's rights and individual rights? How about the "sanctity of marriage" and rule of law that your always so high on?

Oh, yeah, by the way, if it wasn't for the interference of modern medicine in her life cycle she wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes much less 15 years.

15. For sake of accuracy
Wild Bill stated that he supported the court's actions. The above quote is not an endorsement of either view; it is, however, an accurate description of large segments of the population.
