If Jeb Bush sneeks into the hospice and snatches her after midnight
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 02:13 PM by Walt Starr
tonight, there cannot be a court hearing on the matter until Monday under the law.

Watch for it.

1. Of course it won't be Jeb who does it
it will be some expendable flunky so Jeb can maintain deniability.

2. If it's anyone remotely connected to him....................
everyone in the US will know it's his doing. He wont get away with it that easy.

4. CNN is reporting that Jeb may DEFY the Court Order and
order State Police to storm the hospice and take custody of Terri.
"MAY" being the bail-out word.

6. He will be shut DOWN by the Courts.

No man is above the law, especially not the Bush brothers.

9. Will somebody give Penelas advanced warning?
He's the type of guy people tend to leave out of the loop.

14. Yep
They'll make some reason not to do it. So then it wouldn't be their fault. It'd be someone else's. :eyes:

5. He'll be in contempt of court if he does
I really don't think he wants the political fallout because of disregarding the courts.

He is screwed, though. He's made this such an issue and put himself in this position that if he doesn't go and do something so dramatic he'll feel the pressure and it could cost him any political future.

It'll be thrown out there by any opponent that Jeb ignores the rule of law and doesn't care about the courts.

8. Don't you think his big brother would pardon him?
Seriously.

11. I agree
If he obeys court orders, the fundies will hate him for not following his extreme rhetoric.

If he disobeys court orders, the vast majority will hate him for being a strongman tyrant.

In any case, everyone is disgusted by the fact Jeb doesn't seem to have a consistent set of principles.

7. Well, if he snatches her, he doesn't care about court orders anyway.
It would be an instance of doing whatever and arguing, after the fact, that he should not be punished or held in contempt.

But I don't think Jeb will do it, and the fundies will never forgive him for failing to follow his rhetoric with action.

12. I think W. is going to swoop in on Air Force One, take custody
of her, and spirit her to safety, maybe to Cheney's undisclosed secure location, where she will be rehydrated, and W. will then personally rehabilitate her, perhaps by laying on of hands or something. (Sorry about the run-on sentence)

13. Jeb isn't dumb enough to be connected with such a flagrant
act of contempt of court. But, others might try it unless she is placed under armed guard.
