Nuclear Terri
Delay says Terri can talk
Frist says she laughs and cries
Jeb says there is new evidence (that will never be considered)
George say Terri should live but he's not powerful enough

DU's home page talks about GOP over reaching.

These people don't just say things like this to make themselves look foolish.

The nuclear option will launch 10 minutes after Terri dies IMO and we better be ready.

Activist Judges are next.

Polls? Are these the same polls that predicted a Kerry victory?

These evil geniuses want us to think we are winning.

Once the Senate is nuked the judiciary follows and right behind that....

The machines will steal the mid terms and we will be told the fundies swamped the polls.

Middle America and even some Dem's will buy it hook line and sinker.

"Damn those fundies were mad! Oh well there is always '08"

1. I agree, the fundies have a death grip around the throat of the GOP
and aren't letting go until they turn the US into a theocracy. The Schiavo case is all about energizing the religious right to support the Repukes in their planned efforts to stack the Supreme Court with theocratic judges. Terri Schiavo is just a pawn in their overall game.

2. With one point I agree
We'd better be thinking about AFTER Ms Shaivo.

We'd better have a game plan ready to go..

3. I agree. Great post!
This is a no-win for the Left. Time and time again the Right has picked the battles that energize their base and leave the rest of us perplexed. When she dies she's going to hailed as a martyr and held up as a symbol of yet another example of evil liberals destroying American and Christian values from their ivy towers. Prepare yourselves for the worst.

4. You are right
this was their intent in this whole thing.

There's a petition over at moveon.org
We are working very hard to try to inform people of what is going on.
Last week we tabled at the Post Office and got people to call our Senators. No one had even heard of this and were very receptive. This isn't a liberal or conservative issue it's a matter of keeping the courts non-partisan.

And welcome to DU!
