Texas high court blocks scheduled Wednesday execution
Tonights right wing talking points, "We give convicted killers more due process and a chance at life than what we gave Terri".

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) -- Texas' highest appeals court stopped the scheduled execution Wednesday of a man about five hours before he could have been put to death in the 1989 slaying of a restaurant manager.

Steven K. Staley, 42, won the reprieve after lawyers argued that instructions given to jurors at his 1991 trial were unclear when they were deciding whether he should get the death penalty. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals sent the case back to a trial court.

"This is good news," said Jack Strickland, one of Staley's attorneys.

Staley was condemned for the 1989 slaying of a Fort Worth restaurant manager during a botched robbery. At the time, he was an escapee from a Denver halfway house.

1. Which is also BS
These people have appealed to the USSC FIVE TIMES. And five times the SC has refused to take the case.

No one in history has gotten more due process than the Schindlers.

(FWIW, it's all about them; not about Ms. Schiavo.)

Unfortunatly that is true, and that is one of the real sad aspects of this case.

Yeah it will be, as far as they are concerned, de facto evidence of Christian persecution in America by the time they get done with it.

I don't know, I should potentially be concerned that I have studied these people long enough that I know what there responses will be even before they do.
