Is there any credibility to the nurse who says that Michael Schiavo...
wanted Terri dead, would rip notes out of her medical charts, etc.? I doubt there is given that the media is so pro-feeding tube, but I wonder if anyone knows for sure. Does anyone know more detail about this nurse's background?

3. Read this:
http://www.thoughtcrimes.org/mt/archives/001986.html

It's a DU'rs summary of the last Guardian ad Litem report prepared for the case and a link to it. It should, if everything was done properly be a fairly objective report of the facts.

It makes the important ethical and legal facts pretty clear, and Michael comes out looking sterling.

to any of these people that these liars have been dragging out of the woodwork to make any of their claims.

6. She had those "severe eyes" that so many rightwing women have.
Just my opinion, but I think she is a pre-programmed fundie.

7. Look at this - Media Matters
It covers the nurse story pretty well.

8. The nurse who was fired from the hospital?
The one who, if believed, indicates a massive conspiracy going on between the hospital, the police and anyone else?

9. The part about treating low blood sugar by putting dextrose
into Schiavo's MOUTH was a dead giveaway.

Dextrose is given IV through a large bore needle.

Glucagon may be given by injection if there is no IV access.

However, in Schiavo's case, fruit juice would have been given to her via her feeding tube to correct low blood sugar, if it ever existed.

Giving Schiavo dextrose orally would have killed her pretty quickly, since that stuff is the same consistency as the brown glue they make out of old horses and she had no gag or swallow.

Also, there's the bit about the locked door. Nursing homes and hospitals only have locks on drug storage areas and equipment storage rooms. Patient rooms do not have locks, as they're a real danger when patients are confused.

Then there is the problem of all her notes made (apparently) with disappearing ink and the way all her coworkers were trying to kill all the other patients.

The woman is a lunatic.

I sincerely hope the Florida Board of Nursing is looking into her. I sure wouldn't want anyone that ignorant and vindictive to care for any of my family members (and my father lives in Florida).
