Bushco is completely Self-Destructing! The best part about it is...
That Dubya is going to come out of this broken, bloody, and weakened with the public...

And the Democrats didn't have to lift a finger for any of this to happen.

Bushco has really stepped in it this time. A brain-dead woman in Florida is becoming their political Waterloo.

5. Throw in Bush's unpopular Social Security Scam
And all of his political capital will be blown.

The Man-Date will be over.

Guess they'd better dust off those plans to invade Iran.

17. Hey, what happened to all those "values" voters that voted for Bush?
I'd like to hear Bill Schneider's take on what happened to that voting block. 80% think the tubes should be removed....I wonder where they went to....

19. You mean KKKarl's imaginary little friends??
I've said forever that Fundies are 18% of the public - tops.

Yeah, after the election, they were supposed to be 45% plus of the electorate. Where are they?

24. Wishful thinking...but it won't happen.
Nothing the shrub does affects him. As long as the media doesn't report it, no one seems to give a shit. Why do you think this quagmire in Iraq is continuing with minimal outcry from the American public? Because the media is not giving us the real story...they are showing us the "birth of democracy" courtesy of the shrub.

As long as the rethugs control the media, they will control everything and nothing they do will matter. They will continue to get away with the same old bullshit.

18. You don't need teflon
Particularly if no one is trying to stick anything to you. The media has simply stopped doing its job. It can no longer effectively report on right wing politicians. The rights methodology has rendered them impotent against them. They can terrorise the left and the dems. But against the right they are useless.

3. You know, all John Kerry had to do to win the election was...
point at an image of bush in front of the Mission Accomplished banner every time he was asked a question. Nothing more was needed. You or I could have won that race doing that.

(Thanks to Mr. Black)

It took so long to get past security at the hospice that by the time she got through, he was dead.

you know, the wimps who rubberstamp his horse shit because they're afraid of pissing off the churchgoers back home. The ones who voted his way.

With better Democrats. Those aren't lifetime appointments. We gain nothing by cooperating with Republicans.

Party unity my ass. Find a good replacement for Leibermann, and a few dixiecrats.

25. I heard Earl Pomeroy of North Dakota
on the Ed Schultz show this afternoon trying with no success to explain away his vote. He hemmed, hawed, paused, and hemmed and hawed some more before finally coming out with the lame statement that he thought it would be a good idea for the courts to take "another peek" at this.

Coming from North Dakota he probably felt he had to vote with the repukes, but he sounded like he knew better and had absolutely nothing to stand on. It was pathetic.

10. Even my conservative co-workers are disappointed ...
...and horrified at Bush et.al. I just put on a shit eating grin today and said "Don't blame me, I voted for Kerry." They actually gave me an embarrassed laugh.

Thanks to DU for all the great and logical arguments you have all presented re: Terri. I used every one today and kicked ass.

15. "Damn Republicans-its all their fault!"
There were the words of my boss this morning about gas prices, among other things. There is no love lost for Bush in my company-the newest tech even believes Bush planned the 911 attacks, and he just got a computer and hasn't been on the internet!

32. Not sure
he's a Southern Baptist (I balance the checkbook, so I know which church he gives money to) and says he's a Democrat, but one of the other workers says he voted for Bush-his buddies are big Bush supporters (I checked them out on newsmeat, and some of them gave the max to the GOP). Knowing how he likes to schmooze with the fat cats, I can't really say. I will say that the ardent repukes I do know are very quiet lately....

16. Do not get your hopes too high
I have been around too many high hope parties that came crashing down when the repukes/bushco simply stepped out of the mess.

Nothing will stick to them unless the media decides to stick it to them. This will disappear. They will benefit from it because they will have demonstrated that they stick by their convictions and the Dems played it for politics.

People voted for George last election even when they did not agree with his policies. They did so because they believed he was a man of integrity. Someone that stood by their policies.

This is nothing but a win/win for the Bushies. They whip up the religious right. They demonstrate their "integrity". In the end whether she lives or dies it disappears from most people's radar as other issues take center stage.

22. i DOUBT...
One issue will not help them self destruct or implode. It will have to be waaaaaaaaaay more, like Medicaid, SS, and when ppl try to file for bankruptcy. Also, if gas goes higher we might as well start planning for 08.

and send him out to fight tomorrow. McCain will say anything. SS will still not be put on the table in any way where it can be discussed.
