If the question had been asked in French, Martin would have responded in French first and then repeat it in English, at least that is how it is usually done but given bush was there and might take offense as he did when David from MSNBC had the effrontery to show respect for Chirac by asking his question in French, Martin may have responded in English first in this instance.
