SS.says it will be in real trouble in 10/15 years and American can easily afford the 2 trillion dollars to change it to the other system..plus all the usual rubbish about Bush visionary etc and of course..blamed on CLINTON who was going to do the same as Bush but got diverted by Monica !
All the other usual claptrap..cut taxes for the rich and they will create jobs..

Room full of journalists..not very impressed.

1. On Australian TV?
I guess we are all too busy obsessing about Ms. Schavio to worry about the fact that President Bush's Social Security Plan has basically gone away.

2. he was giving a lunchtime lecture to a Canberra media club
but they're pretty experienced old hacks who have heard all this right wing mumbo jumbo before. Didn't even bother asking many questions when they usually fight to ask other guests.

3. I can understand that our economy, taken as a whole,
has impact on the world.

I still don't get why Forbes Junior would be talking to the Canberra Media Club on Australian TV about our SS system.

4. I guess he's telling us to be prepared to do what is
happening there, after all our lapdog PM follows everything Bush does about 9 months after. So I guess we can expect SS to be privatised at some time.
