Bornagains getting more paranoid, delusional & dangerous every day
ever since st. ronnie gave them the go ahead to infest our government like cockroaches, the religious loony right has been fighting for dominance and making progress in turning america into a theocracy.

i've been warning everybody i could for 26 years now, give them an inch and they'll take a million miles. it's never enough for them, they want it all.

and now they are like a pack of panicky wildebeasts, getting ready to stampede right over the rest of us.

the republicans used them to gain power, now that they've sold their souls to these maniacs, they'll regret it. so will we all.

1. The country's gone mad. People are nuts. What must the rest of the
world think of this ridiculous circus of posturing presidents and the falsely pious? I shudder...really.

37. We think you're mad
Not you personally, of course, and not the whole country, but over here in the reality-based world, many people suspect that a large proportion of your population are mentally ill, and wonder how this happened and how they became so powerful.

A lot of Fundies cant obey their own religious rules ,so they feel the
need to push these rules on all of society,so they are forced into
following their own religious convictions.

(I just woke up and have had no coffee I hope this makes sense)

7. I am truly frightened at the prospects for this country's future.
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 08:23 AM by Dhalgren
To paraphrase Bill Moyers, this is as bad as it has ever been. In the past, even during the worst of our political squabbles, everyone knew that at all levels of our society there were educated adults in charge. We might not agree with their politics or their stand on different issues, but we knew that they were sane, rational people who would not allow delusions to override what was best for the nation. This isn't the case any longer. The people in control are delusional ideologues, who have completely lost sight of the nation's good. I don't feel very optimistic this morning...

8. Reagan and Senior
I simply cannot imagine Reagan or Bush Sr.(no prizes either) getting on Air Force One, in the middle of the night, to come back to DC to sign a bill, an UNCONSTITUTIONAL bill, to "save" one woman's life. Mind boggling.

28. actually, there was one time, in particular
that I think we can agree that sane rational adults were not in charge, round about 1850-59. And something happened just then, can't remember, I'll have to check my american history books.

19. When I worked in delinquency, lots of my kids got born again in lock-up
They'd let preachers come in to visit with the kids at the county youth home (not at the state facilities), and they were inevitably fundies. They'd give the kids Bibles and preach to them. Some would take it seriously, being locked up and lonely.

Most of them gave it up as soon as they were released.

Do a search. It's about the hypocrisy of many of those who call themselves born again. And yes, in my opinion, those people are birthing themselves, for themselves...not for God.

Being born again...

It's John 3

One of the Pharisees , Nicodemus, asked Jesus how can a man be born again.... Nicodemus was referring to the literal sense of the term;that a person could reenter their mother's womb... Christ's answered it was a spiritual rebirth...

31. Twice for me
first was at home on easter Sunday 1948, the doctor who delivered me arrived on a horse, 12 plus inches of snow they tell me.
second was at the tender age of 10 in spring creek and the water was so warm. Later I realized it was due to the fact the air temperature was in the upper 30s. Now am happy agnostic thank you.

15. THIS is like the dumb ass neighbor with the REALLY mean dog.
The dog won't bite the owner, but it will froth at the mouth at everyone it doesn't know and trust.

The owner don't care.

This vicious beast makes him feel superior.
He knows that if you fu*k with him, he can unleash the animal, and it will immediately go for the unprotected throat of anyone who threatens it's benefactor.

But the owner should know what's coming.
One day the wild eyed beast is going to turn on him and rip it's larynx out, and feast on the flesh and blood of it's once proud provider.

They called us the "wild eyed" coalition during the last election.
What these assholes don't understand, is before they come for US, they are first going to tear to shreds those that betrayed them.

I'm ready for them.

They are armed with their bibles.
I got a 12 gage shotgun.

They love the lord so much, great.
I'll help arrange the meeting.

The first thing they did was put up a FRIGGIN' yard sign that has a picture of Jesus and it says..."Remember What Easter is All About." :grr::nuke: I absolutely HATE having these people SHOVE THEIR DAMN RELIGION DOWN MY THROAT. I HATE it! They live DIRECTLY across the street from the house that had a sign in their yard during the election campaign....."PLEASE VOTE PRO-LIFE" I honestly cannot take this shit. It drives me up a wall!

With wildebeast that is? The puritanical bushybans of the terroristic right wing fringe most closely resemble a small plot of land that has been overrun and overpopulated by large geese. As these geese shit out their goopy brown/green twigs, they (the turds not the geese) start to take on the form of the lunatic fundie pervs getting fried on Christ....

Some of the nastiest people I've ever met in my life have been jailhouse born agains, they walk away from whatever crime they may have committed by claiming it was their old unwashed self who did it.
These people are fuckwads and cretins, some of whom go on to be elected to congress and other parts of our government.
