How sad is it that CNN breaking news on Schiavo is from London?
there are no reporters in the US to cover this story?

I guess I should be happy since there was no right wing spin as there would have been had it come from the US, but, it adds credibility to the sorry state of US news.

8. CNN international only one on air
CNN was the only station that had a live feed, everybody else just flashed a update. Hannity and Colmes had that nurse on and flashed a newsalert and didn't have a anchor to show but just showed a graphic under the show. I guess since I have picture in picture with my Dvr and am a newsjunkie I just check on all the newschannels when something like this breaks.

I've learned that over the last 5 years.

3. I was just thinking that myself...
I remember when CNN actually had people on hand to report breaking news.

5. Exactly! I thin CNN should morph into anther station entirely. The
international one would be on all day, have great reports and hosts and not be forced to toot toot tooot the American horn.

9. But here's the WORST part
...even thought their "legal expert" commentator does not know a Supreme Court from a circuit court, the questioning and coverage and approach are all far more academic and cover ALL of the salient issues than American corporate media!

These people are looking on from a distance, and they seem better able to dissect the issues without beating their breasts and screaming for "Jaysus" to intervene....

14. They used to show it on CNNFN after the markets closed
...as well as on the weekend. Dunno if they still do that. Right now, I am not in an area where I can get CNNFN, but it I agree with you, CNNI was my station of choice even in the USA, when I could get it. I wish they'd even switch from headline news to CNNI after ten o'clock. You get a whole load of good Euro news because they're ahead of us by six hours--especially handy if there is some international imbroglio brewing.

13. Even sadder: it's been far superior to American coverage.
The Human Rights lawyer is actually quite intelligent and seems to have a better understanding of this case and of American law than 95% of the pundits on American news.

24. Watching CNN is like reading ........ The National Inquirer.
The only ones worth watching are Anderson Cooper, and Lou Dobbs. The rest are republican propagandists.
