Has anyone heard of Our Hero bracelets?

Is it legit? I have a blue bracelet, but everyone has bracelets of every color imaginable. The Our Hero bracelet is different and seems to be very meaningful (if it is legit).

The bracelets are black anodized aluminum. Not sure, but would wearing metal on your wrist be comfortable?

or just some other crap spewed out by a corporation that makes it's money overseas? My heros are those that help their neighbors out, maybe push a car out of the drive lanes into a parking lot, the guy that has a gallon of gas when you run out and have a mile to go to a station. Those are my heros.
