I'm now the MOST extreme liberal in Wyoming!!
bwhahahaha. I just LOVE this. I wrote a letter to the Casper Star Tribune last week complaining (again) about Ann Coulter. The ST insists on running her "column" the same day as Molly Ivins in an attempt to look balanced. I stated in that last letter that Ann and Rush and others of their ilk appeal only to bullies and petty tyrants.

So here comes a letter today that my "poison pen" and I are back! "...still spewing (her) liberal rubbish and rancor ... as fervently as ever." this is where it gets good: "It's not easy to be the most extreme member of the hard-core little club of Wyoming residing liberals ... She's definitely the cream of the crop."

bwaqhahahahahahahahaha oh my god. This is just too funny. Now then, a good friend who is extremely active in the state Democratic party just got invited on an expense paid visit to Taiwan. Don't you think I should get to go too since I'm the "cream of the crop?"

sigh.

It's lonely out here in Repuglycan land.

4. Howdy Darleen!
I noticed how in the last presidential race Wyoming had more total votes than they did registered voters for the primaries prior to the election. Could you detect any effort to turn out every voter from Wyoming who was eligible, because it sure looks like the turnout was near 100% or even higher!

10. Hi Darleen
I wrote letters to the CST from time to time. It is probably one of the most enjoyable and weird forums in the state. If one ever wants to see knuckle-dragging right-wingers at their finest, that is the place to go.

I was never called the most extreme liberal in Wyoming, though. You should be congratulated and complimented on your accomplishment.:headbang:

13. Thank you, thank you...

Loved the medal, will print it out and put it on a tshirt.

Ah the joys of living in a backwater. What I really liked about this clown's letter was he was actually wondering where I'd been!!! A fan base. Hoo boy, do you suppose this is how coultergeist got her start? Maybe if I piss off enough people in Wyoming I, too, could be a multimillionaire.

Oh well, a girl can dream.

Um, I didn't know about the voter turnout (shame faced). I figure I vote here in this state just because it's right, not because my vote counts.

What' truly hilarious is the fact that DH and I were, once upon a time in our innocent youth, both (GASP!!!) registered repuglycans!! Having seen the error of our ways 25 years ago we went independent and would have been happy to stay that way until last year when I finally had enough and marched down to the court house and told them to "MAKE ME A DEMOCRAT!"

So now here is this clown calling me a wild eyed liberal. And your point, sir? bwahahaha.

Sorry. This really has made my day. I'm going to have a tshirt made up with "CAUTION" on the back done in big, black, block letters. On the front I want it to read "Wild Eyed Liberal at work" with a graphic of spiky, purple hair and big deranged looking eyeballs.

Oh, I'm having too much fun with this.

11. Is There Any Party Building Going On?
I'm sick of states like this being the butt of Democratic jokes. We dismiss them since they seem so out of reach for Democrats, but here's a person who is one of us and i'm certain there are more. Now does the Democratic party?

I'm curious what's happening as far as any progress Democrats are making in Wyoming and far west states...it could be a soft underbelly for the GOOP as they've been so obsessed with sucking up to the Billy-Bob Nascars in the South and taking the western part of their coalition for granted.

I'd love to learn about a campaign in this or any similar area that is trying to get organized...and kick in a couple bucks to show my support.

Cheers!

23. Keep writing Darlene...and get some of your friends to do so too
so you won't be the only local queen of the liberals. There needs to be more competition. :)

It is lonely in blue-land now too. Not enough people who care in either part of the country. I hope to see a lot of folks at the protests tomorrow though.

24. Why does your local paper think that running Ann Coulter
against Molly Ivins is fair and balanced? Molly researches her articles and is a real journalist with decades of experience. Ann talks out of her skinny ass. She can't back a single statement she makes, especially since everything she says are mostly ad hominem attacks and disinformation. If they want to run a conservative journalist on the same level as Molly Ivins, they are going to have to do better. However, they are going to have a hard time finding an honest, conservative journalist, with the same credentials Molly has, these days.
