ISLAMABAD, March 15: President General Pervez Musharraf's son Bilal Musharraf was stopped and made to miss his flight at San Francisco Airport last week for a unique suspicion.
The US security personnel believed they detected TNT traces in the diaper bag of his year-and-a-half old son Hamza, it is learnt.
Bilal Musharraf had arrived at the airport to board a United Airlines flight to Frankfurt with his wife and son. Trouble began when Hamza's diaper bag was put through baggage scan at the airport. The X-ray scan detected some traces of TNT (explosive material) on the bag which immediately alerted the airport security personnel.
Bilal Musharraf, his wife and son were asked to stand on the side and the bag was then put through the X-ray machine half a dozen times. In this process Bilal and his family missed their flight. Eventually, they were cleared by the airport security and allowed to leave.
