Interesting article about Hillary's Chances in 08' with some poll results
I will support Clark but I think Hillary will be hard to beat. An interesting point they made is that the language changes when a Man is running against a Woman or they may come across as disrespectful to Women.

1. I agree
Interestingly, everyone here says a polarizing figure can't win. But then they note that W.'s negatives are 6 points higher than Hillary's.

Of course polarizing figures can win - the Republicans do it consistently.

And yes, whether fair or not, a woman has a certain advantage in political debate. Ric Lazio really damaged himself when he virtually assaulted Hillary with his demand that she sign some pledge. It was perceived as hostile and threatening to not just a woman, but the First Lady.

3. Yes, even FDR was polarizing. He was a love him or hate him president

5. We Have to Win By a Landslide, or we "Lose"
Between the Electoral College and outright election fraud,
we need a lot more votes to win than the Repubicans do.

2. Hillary set back universal healthcare in 1993. No way would I vote for her
That crazy idea she had about prosecuting people who paid out of system to see a doctor was a real deal killer.

What was she thinking?

Thanks for nothing, Hillary!!!

4. These polls are for name recognition, only,
and as such are utterly useless.

No more DLC Dems. Not in 2008. Not ever.

Thank you.

8. Oh, but everyone on DU has been saying everyone hates her
but these polls say otherwise. Even if you know who someone is that doesn't mean you will answer on the poll that you like her if you don't. So, why is she more liked than Bush?

7. Yeah right. If she gets the nomination everyone will be behind her
100%. I am not a big fan but if she gets the nomination I will work my ass off for her or who ever gets the nomination. I suppose you would rather us have Jeb Bush than Hillary????

9. I won't support her and I won't vote for her.

I will actively work for a third party candidate. I would rather have Jeb Bush as a Republican president then have Hillary move our party even further to the right. A win with Hillary would be much worse then a loss with anyone else.

11. She is not that far to the center
Take a look at her voting record. She is a champ for all the important liberal causes. My biggest problem with her is her stance on the Iraq war.

If you think having Jeb Bush would help our party more than having Hillary as president then you might want to think that through a little more.
