Poll question: My Three ORPHANS (No thread left behind.)
It happens to all of us. You spend precious minutes of your busy life lovingly crafting a thread and it falls through the cracks, plunging into the depths. Perhaps it was the wrong time of day. Or maybe you just didn't strike a nerve with the subject line.

So, here's our safety net. A "lockbox", if you will, for the orphaned threads of DU, such that there is no thread left behind.

Pick up to three threads you posted this week where the DU response most dissappointed you, and link them here.

I'd also like to know if people would like to see a thread like this at the end of every week. (The end of the week is best, because that is when the "My Posts" DU function is storing the most posts.)

P.S. Thanks to SoCalDem for pointing this out: you can more easily retrieve old threads that are no longer in your "My Posts" menu, as long as you remember which forum you posted them, by clicking on the "Author" column header to sort by author name. Then page for a while and curse yourself for not choosing a username that started with A. If you want to get at the archived threads, you have to sort by author before clicking on archives.)

Oh, and I only had one neglected thread this week, so here goes:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=3253406&mesg_id=3253406

Poll: would you like to see a thread like this at the end of every week? (Note, America timezones assumed here)

2. I was just going to see if the ORPHANS thread was posted.
I think a weekend posting makes sense. Saturday AM. if it's gone by Sunday night...

here are two of mine:

I'm researching the White Rose Society for a new essay to go on benburch's site and found this amazing poem:

a PROPHETIC poem from the 1840s

and, this is just mean-spirited fun at the expense of a mean-spirited _______ to the tune of NUNs singing Rogers and Hammerstein!

5. nice poetry/lyrics.

Your coulter thread, BTW, isn't really an orphan -- to get that many responses, hundreds of people saw it, rest assured.

6. A recommend would help too.
Just two puts it on "Greatest" so kicking isn't as neccessary.

OH! And I was totally negligent! No orphan thread should be without plenty of these:

9. LOL.......
I don't do many original posts; I'm the "replier" in most cases. I just couldn't resist "replying" to this thread.

I think there is one post that didn't get ONE SINGLE HIT. Want me to go find it? It was a call for action, not an editorial really.

10. Good idea
Bush pulling out of the death penalty treaty, but announcing he was reviewing 51 Mexican cases before the treaty info was announced. More attention was given to the Mexican cases, the more important pulling out of international treaties barely got a blip.
