I hope they never axe CNN Headline News
It's the only cable news station I can stand.

3. It's already been axed, hasn't it?
Last time I flipped by it was some E! type knockoff.

4. Ya Mean Nancy Grace Rocks Your World???
For shame...LOL

I don't think I've watched this channel since they turned it into Bloomberg Lite...way too much crap going on and not even up-to-date reports, IIRC.

With the computer and so many news sources, the need for this network is moot IMHO. This is "Nuze For Dummies". LOL.

7. I usually watch CNN in the morning while I'm getting ready for work.
Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 02:44 PM by RebelOne
They are not very up-to-date on their news. They repeat stories that I had seen the day before on the Internet. In fact, one morning the anchor kept talking about Bubba the lobster and how he had been saved and was going to the zoo. Well, what they failed to mention is that Bubba had died the day before.

I e-mailed CNN about that, and asked where they got their news because it was not very up to date, but never got a reply. I guess they had egg on their faces.

8. I really don't like the new look though
If I wanted to read a crawl, I'd watch regular CNN. I think HN has devolved into CNN 2, especially with all the new "shows" like the laughable Nancy Grace. I'm really getting into ABC World News Now late at night (when I get most of my news). But as far as HN goes, I love Renay San Miguel. By far, my favorite anchorman on CNN.

12. I'm with you on that one
I totally agree with your comment on the crawl. I liked HN before because I didn't have to read the crawl which often gives me a headache. Or if it goes to slow or is wordy, I forget what the beginning of the sentence was talking about by the time it gets to the end. Also, Nancy Grace is too bitter and an hour of entertainment news is too much for me. If I wanted to sit through that and know all that stuff, I'd turn on Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood.

9. CNN is not "the news"
Right before the election, morning commentator, Jack Cafferty, actually had the nerve to call George Bush some pretty nasty names. Moron seemed to be his favorite. In the first few days after the election, Jack was mysteriously "gone". I haven't heard him critcize Bush or any of his gang of thugs since. COWARDS!!!

11. They aren't axing it but it's changing
to a more "show" oriented format.
