Things are getting better in the Middle East? Yeah Right!
I just read the most amazing piece in the Scotsman. Almost every single paragraph in the long piece had a different type of killing in Iraq within the last couple of days.

Then I read that the Bushies are warming up to the idea of having a future State Dinner (my words) for Hezzbollah. But wait...Just a couple of days ago Bush was sticking out his big tough guy chest and smirking wildly about Lebanon. But wait again... Today the Lebanese President reappointed Omar Karami as Prime Minister, ten days after the pro-Syrian was forced to step down amid mass protests.

2 plus 2 = 5

it really seemed that the "media elite" (not the non-existent 'liberal media', but the fools who shape 'convention wisdom') were in overdrive in manufacturing the 'freedom is on the march' nonsense and now those darn Arabs won't play by the script.

It really seemed like a bit of cheerleading and I was thinking that things under the surface must be really bad if the corporate media felt the need to try to put a happy face on things like they did ... it was real overdrive, they got much of the European media to play along and fools a lot of people (Jon Steward) who should know better

2. Something that wasn't in the US News
the bodies of some of the decapitated women had notes on them which read "collaborator".
