Which Left Wing Radio Talk Host is the worst?
Who helps us the least? Who, is not that sharp, funny or interesting? Who should be drooped so someone like Tom Hartman can take their place?

Also:

Help me out here because I have only listened to the Majority report a couple of times but Sunday they had some guy on from some Family Values thing. Sam and Janeane basically sucked with the interview they did with this guy. I saw like ten missed opportunity's to just nail him that they missed. I wasn't sure however if it was a fake interview because it was totally bizarre! The guy said he hated gay peoples "faggy ways". It was really strange to say the least! Anyone listen to that?

I also love Janeane.

7. What's wrong with discussing something to make it better?
I have not listened to Sam and Janeane enough to form an educated opinion that is why I was hoping someone like you would fill me in on that show. Did you miss that part?

2. marty kaplan should hit the trail....
why aar has him on anytime is a mystery to me.....he belongs on public radio. everyone else has been really good. Randi Rhodes rocks, but even she misses opportunities to nail people like that scumbag ollie north.

3. Al Franken.
His "humor" is exremely dated, extremely conventional, and aimed at a very narrow, nebbishy, yiddish/borscht-belt-type sensibility. Like a poor man's Mel Brooks.

Not only that, he's not all that liberal. He does get major points for taking O'Liely to the woodshed, but he seems to have an obsession with O'Liely, and leaves the other whores alone...

25. I Love Al!
I listen every day and often laugh out loud, literally. O'Reilly and Rush have been getting away with murder forever and I love that Al is calling them on their bullshit. I think it totally drives them NUTS especially O'Reilly!

It might be a generational thing though -- I'm 45 but if I was 25 it might sound more dated? My 14 year old daughter enjoys him too though. And she learns a LOT -- he's a stickler for details and he gets them right, unlike O'Liely!

Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 02:38 AM by LiberalVoice
I cant stand listening to him.

On Edit: I couldn't listen to him a minute longer after his show Nov. 3rd ... He was just sitting there laughing and making stupid jokes as usual on one of the darkest days in the history of this country.

a very important difference. People should be screaming and they should be ranting.

14. I agree. I love Malloy's passion and dedication...Malloy releases true
and sincere emotions of the frustration so many of us feel.

He's the best!

26. I have to agree with you about Malloy.
I've never heard anyone on the Right or the Left speak of more unabashed hatred than that guy and I just don't see hate speech as a good thing no matter who's doing the speaking.

Also, as a theatre major, I don't find his dramatics either effective or amusing, but I recognize that that's largely a matter of taste.

16. i politely disagree.
Randi and mike cut to the bone, which I enjoy. Franken is for the npr types who need a voice too. As far as going after stooges, who's going after nbc, cbs or abc? nobody.

15. Ed Schultz
His tone is too Rush-like...ugh!! He has good guests on though. I did listen today for Boxer & Kennedy. I feel like if he can reach anybody, it's OK if he doesn't appeal to ME...he does cover important topics.

21. You nailed it. He does sound like Rush but he apeals to a lot of
people who never would have thought to vote Democrat. The results are what are important.

23. Don't ask me
I like em all and even have crushes on several of the women (Laura Flanders especially). My only idea would be to let the AAR affiliates try at least two local Lefties in each city.

I might also get aboard the Art Bell/George Noory/Jeff Rense thing by having a host investigate the paranormal and the conspiratorial from a skeptical perspective.

24. Yes, I could go for a skeptical perspective on the paranormal as well
That is something long over due! Their are enough subject on the state of the environment we could have a full time show that just discusses Environmental problems with scientists debating. That is something I would be interested in and would do our world a lot of good by Educating the general public on science and how it works.
