Pat Robertson, Paul Weyrich, the list goes on and on. These people demonize a long list of people. Feminists, GLBT people, Scientists, Liberals, and Muslims are all on the long list of victims of their smear campaigns. I want to pay particular attention to the Muslims. I see lots of anger from the Right and especially from people like Robertson and Weyrich toward Muslims.

Well, have you read one of Pat Robertson's speeches? He praised the Jihadists in Afghanistan. He called them 'freedom fighters', but it doesn't make a difference, he praised a Jihad which goes on to this day.

Have you read 'Robespierre of the Right', a story about Paul Weyrich? Did you read how he basically exploded with anger when it was leaked that he was planning a meeting with the Afghan 'freedom fighters'?

This Muslim is less angry that these people are smearing my religion. They have the Constitutional Right to do that. I am upset that these people helped the Jihad that America is fighting today and these people assume no responsibility.

2. Sure thing
"Can we allow armed aggression from outside or armed aggression from within a country to extinguish freedom for its people? Can we turn a deaf ear to the cries for material help from those brave freedom fighters in Angola, in Afghanistan, in Mozambique, in Nicaragua, who would take to the field of battle at the risk of their own lives to bring freedom and democracy to their people?"

3. It's a case of
"the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Back when the Soviet Union was around, the jihadists were fighting them.

5. You are right
It's the same as the Contras. They are terrorists now and they were terrorists then too.

6. Just in case you are wondering - Weyrich and the 'freedom fighters'
By the 1988 presidential campaign, Weyrich was even more disillusioned. When the Bush camp refused to meet with a group of Afghani resistance fighters, Weyrich conspired to hide them in an adjoining room when Dan Quayle turned up for a luncheon hosted by the Free Congress Foundation; the plan was to spring them on the unsuspecting Quayle. But at the last minute, Bill Pascoe, Bush's
liaison to the Beltway conservatives, leaked the plot, and Weyrich
snapped. "Suddenly there was a volcano of screaming," recalls one lobbyist in the room. "Weyrich was calling Bill a traitor. He was spitting and frothing at the mouth. We were ready to get him a room right next to Hinckley." When the yelling stopped, Weyrich dispatched a letter to Pascoe's fiancee, questioning Pascoe's loyalty and implying that he was unfit for marriage.

7. When will people finally learn the right wing code?
Everything that is bad, the right wing is guilty of it. To remove their guilt from it, they attack it relentlessly and smear their opponents with charges of it or imply their opponents are guilty of it.

All Americans remember this: If the right wing is accusing anyone of something, immediately investigate the right wing for evidence of it. Their hands hiding behind their backs are covered with it, even though their lips tell you to look elsewhere.
