Prince Charles Meets "Bare-Breast Protest" In New Zealand! Take That Chuck
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 06:22 AM by DistressedAmerican
Had to post this little protest encounter. They are very vague about her motivation but, I assume she is opposed to the war.

Great Work New Zealand!

Here's the protester:

YOU GO GIRL!

Charles' reaction:

LOOKS LIKE HE'S NEVER SEEN A SET.

Just as an added Bonus: Captioned "Prince Charles inspects a "Bush Toilet" in Alice Springs, Australia.":

Bare-breast protest greets Charles
Tuesday, March 8, 2005 Posted: 5:00 AM EST (1000 GMT)

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- A woman bared her chest and shouted "shame, shame" in an apparent protest against the monarchy as Britain's Prince Charles arrived at an official function Tuesday in New Zealand's capital.

The woman, exposed from the waist up, was grabbed by two uniformed police officers, arrested and marched from the scene as the prince was led into a nearby building.

The woman had the message "Get your colonial shame off my breasts" written across her chest and stomach.

The prince reportedly appeared to look in the woman's direction and smile as he entered Wellington's City Art Gallery.

Oldie but a goodie:

6. In general
Britain doesn't think the female breast is nearly as ugly, offensive, and terrifying as we in the US do.

8. BBC has more information on the protest....
The pair, who were both arrested, said they were angry at the postponement of a breast-cancer screening truck during the prince's visit to Wellington.

One woman had "get your colonial shame off my breasts" written on her body.

The demo comes a day after the country's prime minister, Helen Clark, said it was "inevitable" that New Zealand would become a republic.

The two protesters, Holly Goldman and Hana Plant, said they were also angry over reports the prince was offended by bare-breasted aboriginal dancers in Alice Springs last week. Clarence House denies Prince Charles had been insulted by the welcome dance in the Australian Outback.

One of the protesters arrested was carrying a baby; they've both been released. The BBC announcer this AM did mention Prince Tampon's supposed delicacy when confronted by aboriginal ladies without blouses.

There are numerous reasons to protest the twit--leave it to the Kiwis to stage a protest that would make the international news.
