I don't want to see any US troops killed but how long should the average Iraqi sit around and wait for citizens in the US to be successful at demanding a withdrawal before they join the resistance? how long did it take for the anti-vietnam protests to gain momentum - should Iraqi's wait untill 3 million of their countrymen are dead too?

I think expecting Iraqis to be peaceful after everything that the west has thrown at them for more than 30 years (remembering that they probably could have gotten rid of Saddam themselves a long time ago had the west not backed him) is asking a bit much. How long do you think the average american would wait if it were his/her country occupied, his neighbours arrested and tortured, his child blown up?
