I am beginning to think DU means Dean's Underground.
The kind of bashing the other candidates get, if any of them are nominated seems like the Du's and ilk won't support them unless they are Dean.

Though I admit, I won't vote for Lieberman.

4. I think
the Dean supporters are just excited and that's fine (we can cut a little slack for friends). There are lots of us (me included) who don't have a favorite candidate right now, like lots of them, with the exception of Joe, see the good traits of Dean and others, and know there's a long way to go and we have to support whoever gets the nomination. So, in the end we've got to hold together. That's why the bashing might be harmful, but on the other hand, discussion and emotions are fine and maybe even will get us further ahead. Got to get rid of Stumphead.

Really? What's the point of this thread?
More like a Dean-bashing free-for-all is all the rage.

8. "Though I admit, I won't vote for Lieberman."
Then we're not that far apart. Maybe a post in support of your candidate would be more productive.

10. I've thought about it...
It would be a struggle, right up to the time I walked into the booth- could I vote for Lieberman?

...I just can't say for sure. But I'm ABB- so that means if he gets the nod- I've pledged to do it.

9. Nah, it stands for Draft Udall
There are partisans of all the candidates here. (Although we're a bit sparse on Lieberman fans.)

And note that much of Dean's success is due to his Internet presence, and this is an online forum, and, well...

12. Well, this seems like just the thread
to make a statement that I've been thinking about for while. DU appears to me to be fairly unbiased as far as the dem candidates are concerned. Yes, they're biased against bush*sucks (but that's just good sense) and Lieberman (and that's good sense too). I don't have a strong preference for any one of the candidates and so consider myself a fair judge. To repeat: DU is not overly biased towards any one of the dem candidates.

15. The other candidates usually get bashed
in anti-Dean threads. It's only fair.

perspective on it. Those who can't see what is going on are deluding themselves.

17. SOME of the people here doing the bashing
won't be around after the nomination. And no, it's not 'cause they will have been banned. They're here for a reason and that reason will no longer exist by then.
