I'm not gay and don't pretend to know anything about the gay lifestyle and I'm probably not all that progressive either, but I really don't get how people get so worked up about others being gay.

It's obvious to me that no one would put themselves through such pain and suffering, losing friends and loved ones just because they choose to be this way. What really gets me, is the leaders of the anti-gay movements just happen to turn out to be gay themselves. The other half just happen to have gay children. What will it take to get through their heads that gays don't make a choice to be that way, they just are? I blew someone's mind the other day when I asked them when did they choose to be hetero.
