3. This creep is their best chance
or ramming Bush's anti American agenda through Congress. Delay holds the GOP party purse strings, and any Congressman who wants party support in 2006 is going to have to toe the line.

If we get rid of Delay, the whole rotten edifice of GOP solidarity will crumble.

2. Does this have something to do with Jack Abramoff?
Abramoff is at the center of the Indian casino gambling scandal in which Delay is also embroiled.

Abramoff is also on the board of directors of both United Seniors/USA Next and the National Center for Public Policy research, whose Medicare scam letter caused them to be discussed here last fall in loving detail (and which has also benefitted by over $1 million from Abramoff's casino gambling kickbacks.)

Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing the whole lot of them go down together.

7. I couldn't remember who did the research.
Wasn't the main researcher tombstoned? Rawstory is looking for copies of the letters and I know he had some.

10. Here are links
The first was a Social Security scare letter from one of Gary Jarmin's organizations which went to the mother of Bozos for Bush. (He later got tombstoned for accusing someone publicly of being a Freeper instead of handling it through the Alert system.) There's a link to it at http://www.tuff-teach.com/ss/

The second was a Medicare scare letter from NCPPR, and that's included in a thread called "Scary Social Security letter - Gary Jarmin can destroy George Bush." That's at http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=1108892#1114135

Can you get these links to Raw Story? I tried sending them an an email but it bounced back -- I'm not sure why.

9. Is this the same group we talked about a few months ago?
Someone here posted a letter that his mom or dad got. It was very similar to the one mentioned in this article. It was a scare letter that asked for money to "save your Social Security benefits".

I remember people trying to track down the group responsible, but I don't recall who it ultimately led to.

This is excellent news. It was outrageous enough when Congress changed the rules so DeLay could keep his position if indicted. It will be another thing altogether when he actually IS indicted.

DeLay is slime.

14. Did you all notice the last line in this article?
RAW STORY is looking for other Social Security and “fright mail” letters sent out by NCPPR. If you have received a copy of a letter, or have any other information regarding another letter, please email tips@rawstory.com
