Shrek 2 "Outed"
A few weeks ago when SpongeBob got "outed" there was a thread about helping the religious right out other cartoon characters who might be gay. It was pretty funny. I mentioned in the thread that there were a few "gay tolerant" things in the movie Shrek 2 and waddya know:

This made number 5 on this weeks Top 10...

2. Now that the rovbots have republicans terrified of secret messages in
cartoons - perhaps that will keep them busy for a while and they will not have to get married a 3rd time. It will fill a need.

4. They are making themselves irrelevant by being to silly
These people always go too far too fast - they make themselves irrelevant almost within weeks. It's laughable - this isn't the first time this sillyness has happenened in my lifetime - and it won't be the last. At least we haven't lost all of our jobs to China yet - when that happens we won't have time for all this sillyness...

5. When is this going to end
What we need are some good strong cartoon characters. Anti-gay, war mongering, intolerant, white christian cartoons. With a bible in one hand and a bloody cross in the other, Sponge Bob goes off to kill his fellow sponges.

A belief in a religion with a central dichotomy between good and evil, breeds a continuous paranoia concerning the machinations on the part of evil. I would be exhausted having to live my life in this manner. Opps, I apologize, I am evil, and I approved this message.

HE MUST BE GAY!!

And so must Chaplin be gay for holding hands with Shrek in a film clip at the beginning of the Oscars this evening.

The Horror, the horror.....

7. Actually Charlie Chaplain was the only comedien to have the guts
& the financial independance to do the negative movie about Hitler just as WWII was breaking out. Nobody else would touch it.

I thought that Chaplain & Shreik holding hands and walking off into the sunset was actually a gauntlet toss of sorts. Perhaps a little foreshadowing, perhaps just stirring the freeper pot. But nevertheless there is not a symbol of Hollywood more antifascist or anti-elite than Chaplain. And Shreik is the newsest scapegoat? So the two scapegoats walk off into the sunset holding hands...kicking a ball between then, I thought it was lovely.

9. The Great Dictator is the name of the film. I have seen clips but it
seems very appropriate for Bush. Especially the part where Chaplain (as Hitler) dances around a room doing a Burlesque bubble dance with a globe of the world. It may be heartbreaking to see because in the movie Chaplain also plays a Jew being persecuted. I don't know.
