Have You Noticed the "News--What News?" Lately???
If we thought things were bad before...........Have you noticed the news over the last few days?? Like, there isn't any??? Not that there isn't plenty of news that could be ripping through the airwaves (like Gannongate for example); but I'm talking about basically totally nothing on the news the likes of which I've never quite seen. It's as if the media is now onto a new stage. It's not just 'floods' and 'Michael Jackson trials", etc. (that's always been peppered throughout the day) but it is long pieces on all sorts of fluff and barely any national/international news. Iraq is barely mentioned or updated (like they had elections and now everything is over and peachy keen). It's as though there are no battles or legislation coming up in Congress. They are even barely talking about Bush's trip. Is the idea now to get the people mellowed out and not noticiing politics and government at all?? I get more updates on the local news of what is going on in the world than I get on CNN and MSNBC. This is worse than their biased reporting.

for a big bubble burst-Might as well take Iran so we can help them into democracy before helping them build earthquake safe homes!
Maybe we can send a couple of past presidents over to "check things" out! That little outing to Indonesia cost the US, with all the media and secret service enough to build a couple hundred barrack-housing facilities for the hundreds still existing without any!

7. I only see the mainstream news when I visit my mom.
Yesterday, CNN was on. They had already proclaimed Bush's Europe trip a great success. What a surprise. It reminded me of Pravda talking about Khruschev's latest trip.
