Jeff Gannon- I feel bad
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 08:34 PM by stpalm
He is a liar, a cheat, a slime, a disgrace to everything journalism stands for, and he was wrong... but I feel bad for him. I don't know why, he is such a hypocrite and a piece of trash but I feel sorry for him. Seems like he led an aimless life and now he is crashing and burning. Probably the liberal in me.

EDIT- I see this topic already exists. Someone else felt the same way. Sorry for the redundancy!

Don't feel bad for him having to lie in it.

I'll bet you he would have been all over it. Why? because as you say he is a hypocrite. Sorry, I don't feel bad for him.

7. yes, if a liberal was...
conservatives would never even consider feeling bad. that is what makes us different from them- we have a conscience.

sorry for him.

Until then, he made his bed, now he must lie in it.

4. I feel sad for Dick Cheney
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 08:16 PM by chookie
He's so rough and gruff, and does all those bad things, but the poor guy is a sociopath, and is reality challenged. I bet if he had a conscience and an inner moral compass he wouldn't do all this bad stuff. Maybe he was born this way. Maybe it was his early socialization. He should be held responsible. </sarcasm off>

To be honest, when I think about all the people who lost loved ones in the Iraq War, which was based on lies and greed, I'm all cried out.

he didn't need to play this game. He chose to.

8. Yeah, I kinda feel bad for him too.
Seeing him on the hot seat on Cooper's show, he didn't do very well. I hope all the investigators in their zeal to get answers, don't over do it. I hope it doesn't cause him to do anything extreme.

Or are they so red they dont care?
I was astounded when Daschele was beaten by a squirrel like Thune. Now I know part of the reason.

if the situation were reversed? This well "we shouldn't stoop to their level" crap. Is what has us in the situation we are in today. Dems, wringing their hands say..."oh my...oh dear"

Jaysus, when are people going to learn that when fighting for your life, in self defence, it's okay to kick the guy in the nutts!!! We are fighting for our country, for our children, Its for survival. Its okay to kick them in the nutts.

Gannon/Guckert put himself in this position, he has no one to blame but himself.

13. I feel bad for Bill O'Reilly
All that yelling and screaming must give him a headache. I'm afraid one day he'll get so upset he'll get an aneurysm. And having to tell his guests over and over again to shut up must really get on the poor man's nerves. They just don't listen! Well, at least he’s got his vibrator.

18. I hear you - but I don't feel bad for him
He is a man on a journey - just like every other person in the world. His actions are a learning experience. He can choose to ignore the lesson that lying, avarice, cheating, and smearing do not pay...or he can go on digging himself into an even more miserable existence.

Reality can be a real bitch.

20. I'll feel sorry for him after he turns on those
whoredogs in the WH and give us the real truth. Until then, he won't be getting any sympathy from me, towing the WH line when his lifestyle is in such disagreement with it. His level of cognitive dissonance must be making his head about to explode.

I don't care that he is gay, I do care that he is a pros, and they didn't bother screening him, but gave a real journalist, Maureen Dowd, shit.

Something about that really irritated me. Probably one of those "straight-acting," self-loathing closet cases.

Well, he's sure getting a good reaming now--bite the pillow harder, Jeffy, it's only gonna get longer, harder, and less-lubed.

27. He's Still Trying To Play...He's No Intern In A Blue Dress
His lies now have lies of their own. This dude didn't drop out of nowhere...he was planted to do what he's doing right now...lying and attempting to distort.

Like the poster above, I have real sadness for the families that are trying to figure how to rebuild lives ruined by the needless deaths and injuries created by the war for profit this goon is supporting.

No pity, ever. This dude deserves to be shamed (if that's possible) and his handlers unmasked.

28. That's not liberal
that's fucking enabling (aka: codependent).

He's a narcissist, a liar, and a criminal (prositution). He shows no remorse, but wants to play victim. YOU wanna enable that, you go right ahead but I hope to hell most DUers are smarter and emotionally healthier than that.

31. This liberal...
...doesn't feel a damn bit sorry for him. He's a conservative whore, a right-wing shill, and a nasty, petty small minded man. Of course, let's not even get into the fact that his pre-journalism career was all about helping closet Republicans have extra-marital sex thus exposing their wives to possible danger.

32. Its just that the guy is so clueless
to the extent that he seems almost retarded in his intelligence. For most people like that we would have some sympathy.

But Guckert made a lot of decisions that he thought would place him near the center of power but placed him in the Hall of Shame instead.

I expect that this guy will be found with a suicide note, courtesy of the RW people who installed him as a leaker/journalist etc.

34. You still have a trace of liberal bleeding heart in you.
Track it down like it's cancer, rip it out, throw it to the ground and stomp on it until you can't find a hint of its existence.

We need to re-invent the new liberal and hopefully, we'll come out with something better than looney tunes did with bugs bunny.

37. Did you hear Pat Buchanan support him the other day?
What a hypocrite HE IS.

I think his sexuality, (whatever it is) is fine but to stand up there with the gay bashers kind of....repulses me? But then again the biggest outspoken critics of homosexuality are oftentimes sitting in a closet.

BTW - whoever remarked about * (I think you are talking about the Press Secretary?) having a burn mark on his face....does anyone remember the big band-aid Bush had on during the 2000 election? Could it have been a burn mark also?

so why feel bad for him. He has trashed our candidates, our party and continues to lie. I can't feel sorry for someone who doesn't see the error of their ways and he is one who probably never will. He will play the victim now, while making excuses for HIS crap that HE brought on HIMSELF. Nope, it's hard to feel sorry for him.:nopity:
