What? Martin Frost was running for DNC chair and now works for the Fox
propaganda channel! Who were his supporters for that position?

5. Isn't he the one from Texas
or was that Roemer? I remember watching one of the Q&A's with the canidates and one person said how some people encouraged him to run and he was from Texas and he never said who it was who encouraged him to run (family, friends etc). I believe he also started saying we need to do like the republicans and also talk about Christian values and whatnot more. I don't know why but I felt iffy when that person said it. I'm all for talking and reaching out with the Christians (I am one myself) and evangelicals but our party isn't soely on the Christian value system and all that.

8. He was gerrymandered in Texas, so tried to win in a GOP district.
We'd just moved to north Texas, in a different district, but caught all his TV ads. We couldn't tell whether he was the Dem or the GOP -- until he started the adds shaking hands with Dubya and highlighting how Dubya thanked him for his past support. Then we thought he was the Rethuglican -- until his opponent, Sessions, started complaining that Frost's commercials were unfairly hijacking Dubya. Needless to say, Frost as Repub-lite lost to the real thing in the election.

I wrote DNC members saying that if Frost were made party chair, the Dems were history for me. But Frost got frosted again. Forget Frost -- let's build with Dean.

3. Does make ya feel like we just dodged a bullet, doesn't it?
I'll be interested to see how he presents himself on Fox. Is he going to be bitter and resentful, and start skewering Dems? Or does he plan to be a voice of reason on an otherwise reason-free network. We'll see.

7. Yes, indeed it does make me feel that way
Somehow I doubt he'll add a voice of reason to Faux.

9. They'll use him to 'prove' that they're 'fair and balanced.'
They'll call him a 'responsible librul.' Or at least a minimally-irresponsible one. Then they'll play Dean screams.

We gotta take back that scream and make it work for us.

6. He lost his congressional seat trying to out-GOP the GOP candidate.
Thank goodness he couldn't fool the DNC either.

Now he's settling into his own element.

Of course, Faux will probably try to claim that he's a "liberal voice."

10. Begala and Novak both supported Frost
in the episode of Crossfire where Paul and Bob put aside their differences to trash Dean, they also came together to endorse Martin Frost.

It seemed funny to me that Novak would endorse a candidate for DNC chair, but Begala seemed ok with it. :eyes:

electing anyone from Texas to national office of any kind.

12. The finalization of the merger of the dem and republican parties
was ALMOST completed.

I hope Dean can turn the tide, but with AmericanPravda to deal with, I fear we are fucked.
