2. Trying to buy
respectability, and a historical connection.

And too much of taking Hollywood as truth...Braveheart.

12. Buying respectability, interesting.....
Like the nouveau riche, moving into the Hamptons. Easily detected.

I've noticed that kilts are also very popular with the BDSM lifestyle as well.

3. where? who?
I'm in red state Florida and I haven't seen a single kilt.

You know it's bad luck to wear underwear under one's kilt. A kilt could provide easy access for covert sexual activities.

5. No
I was thinking of back door White House liaisons. I need to shut up now. I'm being a hypocrite.
Seriously, where did you hear about a kilt craze?

7. Oh dear
I'm quite proud of my kilt. Does this mean everyone is going to start assuming I'm a Republican now?

9. The new fashion for the wannabe Illuminati and Skull & Bones....
...crowd. Being able to flash ones stuff from under a kilt does not bring one closer to the truth!

13. None here
I can report that none of the Republicans in Gwinnett County Georgia are wearing kilts. Not in public anyway.

14. Not hardly
The fundies had a Cow over the MSM March in New York last year. They might tolerate a Highland Festival, or the FDNY Emerald band. But the thought of Men in Skirts/kilts/MUGS (Male Unbifurcated Garments). "Thats a sin against the bible"

It takes a real man to wear a skirt!

15. the only kilt wearers i know are democrats
not all of whom have nice legs, alas. Still, there's nothing sexier than a hairy-legged man in a kilt.

i think wearing a kilt would go against the conservative natures of GOP men. it might make people quesion their masculinity, for heaven's sake!
