Is the Gannon thing going to blow up or blow over?
When is the Bush regime going to have to be accountable for this? I took an impromptu poll around my office -- about 25 people -- no one knew who Jeff Gannon was or had heard anything about this scandal. Is the MSM going to pick it up and force the issue with the Bushies?

1. Over
Even "blow over" is too strong a term, I'm afraid, given that it's simply being ignored. It's over before it begins.

Will the MSM ever be independent again? Will the real news ever reach the American public? Doesn't seem likely.

2. I'd like to see it blow up, but the realist/cynic in me
suspects it will blow over much like Bush's cocaine use and guard service...or lack thereof.

5. I'm a cynic, too
I'd love to see it blow up, but I think blow over is much more likely...

4. It's being ignored
I just spent an Internet-free week on vacation and the only mention I heard of Jeff Gannon on the news was as someone Democrats want to investigate.

6. If the WH doesn't talk about it, it doesn't exist on cable tv.
That's why Gannon was there in the first place, playing out the clock to keep the WH from having to answer real questions.

7. Over.
If it wasn't for Gannons allegid homosexuality this wouldn't have made a blip in the MSM.

Remember, this is an adminiustration that stole an election, lied to get us into a war, LIHOP and condones torture.

This Gannon issue is a teeny-tiny blip next to the crimes I've just listed.

The BFEE is unaccountable to anybody.

8. I think it will percolate and brew...
not unlike Watergate which started out as the coverage of a third-rate burglary and took 18 months to mature into the resignation of Nixon.

This feels, to me, like it has the same potential due to the furious scrubbing of sites remotely connected to 'Gannon'; the fact that simple Scottie discussed it with the President; the continuing uncovering of more information of 'Gannon'; and, most importantly, the security issue of his access to the WH and his knowledge, at the very least, of the secret memo regarding the outing of a deep cover CIA agent.

9. Impossible to say at this point
since it just started a few days ago, and it's kicking in only today. That said, I'm positive Rove has already made his calls to his plants in the MSM.

11. Intelligence ops Operation Mockingbird and possible military PsyOps
will probably be used to excuse this stuff. Congress and some Republicans need to act. Luck needed.

12. Depends on what WE and bloggers do with the info.
I really think that "Gannon outing" is the tip of a very big iceberg.

13. It won't blow over if we don't LET it blow over
The REpukes never let Whitewater blow over. They pounded and pounded and pounded unrelentlessly.

folks, the reason this shit blows over is we stop flogging it! Don't give up, keep pounding and pounding. That's HOW the Repukes ended up impeaching Clinton!

14. I guess that's true
But I feel so muted. So much of the MSM is turning such a blind eye to the story.
